Objectives of the Position:
1. Drive implementation of BASF Process Safety related Directivesand Requirements into A-ECA in line with AC/E Process Safety Handbook.
2. Act as the Process Safety Coordinator representing A-ECA.
3. Cultivate and provide Process Safety expertiserelevant to Coatings operations to A-ECA sites.

Main Tasks:
1. Interpret and translate the BASFProcess Safety requirements into comprehensive regional policy, proceduresand programs for implementation among all A-ECAsites.
2. Establish and maintain regional Process Safety organization (A-ECA Process Safety Champions Network) to exchange/share/cultivate Process Safety expertiseamong A-ECA sites.
3. Establish a regular exchange of learnings out ofincidents in BASF and follow upimplementation of agreed measures
4. Provide expertise and advice RBU Management and localsites on all questions concerning Process Safety
5. Initiate,coordinate and control activities to perform Process Safety Gap Analysis, Gap Minimizationand Clean Sheet SHE Reviews in accordance with BASF Process Safetyrequirements.
6. Define and execute Process Safety related training concepts and maintain exchange ofinformation/best practice with local partners (Process Safety Champions); cultivate theoperational expert knowledge required for performing SHE Review, increase awareness on Process Safety requirements (e.g., MOC, Documentations) etc.
7. Drive implementing of existing ProcessSafety concepts and general BASF Process Safety requirementsin collaboration with BASF Coatings Sites.
8. Make sure Clean SheetSHE Reviews are conducted according to the plan and in an adequate quality
9. Establish and maintain the standardized Process Safety incident reporting scheme within A-ECA, and monitor that all Process Safety incidents are reported, root cause analysis is doneand measures are properlyimplemented and documented.
10. Represent A-ECA as the Process SafetyCoordinator and collaborate with BASF Process Safety experts of AC/E, BCD, andGUS to improve the overall Process Safety Performance.
11. Support strategicprojects (BEACH/SHAPE/MAJENTA/TUNG/PHOENIX etc.) within A-ECA from ProcessSafety aspects.

Job Requirements:

Education:
University degree inChemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
Working Experience:
At least 5 years relevantexperience, preferably in the Production, Engineering & Maintenance or EHS field.
Technical & Professional Knowledge:
Basic Chemica and/or Engineering knowledge. Excellent analytical, organizational,communication and interpersonal skills. Excellentcommand of written and spoken English.
