POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Responsible for the design and develop firmware for access control system components including panel, lock, reader etc. Engineer will be responsible for develop and maintain assigned firmware modules to support specific subsystems or for overall architecture of the system. Responsibilities include participation in concept generation, architecture design, coding, design document creation, unit/integration/system testing, and other assigned engineering tasks. Individual will be responsible for deliver outcomes including meeting deadlines and schedule.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

?Work with software, hardware, mechanical and technical support engineer to develop application firmware for components of electronic access control system including access control panels, electronic locks, card readers and biometric readers.

?Activities are self-determined and involve the assessment and resolution of complex problems at the project/functional level.

?Analyze the market requirements, translate to functional design requirement and break down to architectural designs, including module definition, program flow and etc.

?Write test plan and work with test engineer, ensure the product with high reliability and best performance.

?Work with vendors to source and evaluate third-party partners when necessary, and with manufacturing & operations to develop manufacturing test firmware to support product validation & factory test.

?Improve upon current designs by adding new functions and increasing robustness and reliability.

?Perform tasks to ensure that projects are completed within acceptable time.

?Work across multiple sites/teams domestically and internationally.

Qualifications:

?BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Automation.

?A Minimum of 3 years' firmware development experience; Full cycle development experience is required.

?Strong experience with C/C++ under Linux , good knowledge of assembly or script language like Perl is a plus.

?Familiar with MPU and MCU like ARM7/9, MSP430，PIC18/24 and 8051.

?Knowledge of appropriate firmware design and reliability considerations.

?Sound knowledge in firmware programming for communication protocol like TCP/IP, RS-485, RS-232, Modbus

?Good verbal and written English.

?Experience in API development under Android / IOS is a plus

?Industry experience in electronic access control system and credentials is a plus.

?Working experience in short range wireless protocol like Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Bluetooth, Z-wave is a plus.
