1.1 JOB STATEMENT

Participate the supplier quality management process and to develop the supplier quality performance level: quality planning, quality control and quality improvement.

Contribute through own work significantly on the high quality material flow to Metso units. The assignment contains from different problem solving situation, analysing processes, documenting the root causes and to following the agreed corrective actions.

The job scope is working with suppliers used or to be used in the supply operation of Metso in China. Suppliers cover both material and service providers. Process scope is from supplier selection to receiving of the material.


1.2 TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

a) Development of Supplier quality management
b) Deploying supplier audit program and follow up outcomes
c) Developing and updating supplier quality plans, including process flow, operation instruction, quality control methods during the key processes
d) Developing the inspection plan of incoming material inspection flow and guarantee the suppliers implementing the correct inspection process
e) Support the operative purchasing and procurement on analysing the non-conformities and claims relating the supplier management and achieving corrective actions internally and among suppliers
f) Giving technical comments on product quality problems of suppliers
g) Participate on agreed development and improvement projects and implement the agreed actions to achieve the better performance
h) Participating in different groups and projects as supplier quality expert
i) Other tasks assigned by manager

o Logistics, inventory planning and purchasing
o new product development – engineering and purchase

2.1 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Essential
? qualification: Bachelor degree of mechanical major
? More than 2 years experience from supplier quality management or 3 to 5 years on quality management in manufacturing industry
? 2 years experience of foundry environment / or working in foundry
? experience on project management practises

Desirable
? assessor experience

2.2 SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Essential
? good knowledge level on quality management concepts and ability to apply them to practise
? ability to lead process and projects
? has know-how on factors affecting competitiveness has adequate know-how on factors effecting business of suppliers
? Excellent commend of MS office and other IT tools.
? good skills on English good negotiation and training skills

Desirable
? understanding of manufacturing techniques
? product knowledge

WORK ENVIRONMENT
