Essential Functions(Responsibilities):
The EHS Engineer:
-Provide Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) support and technical guidance to operations during installation and service of GE O&G equipments at customer site.
-Ensure company and Customer programs are developed and implemented at Customer Site, participating from early stages of the projects, to risk assessment preparation and EHS procedures updates.
-Put in place GE EHS management procedures and maintain up to date documents.
-Drive EHS performance metrics/improvement at customer sites.
-External and internal customer focus, strong commitment to the operationalization of EHS activity.
-Promote EHS performance to customers and other interested parties such as contractors and workforce.
-Participate in the investigation of all recordable accidents and incidents
-Ensure effective working relationships with Customers, Contractors and government agencies on EHS issues
-Ensure that site security meets GE requirements.
-Conduct and/or participate on site EHS audits as required. Organize detailed investigation and RCA in case of injury/accident/Near Miss. Shares out information with Client, Contract Management and EHS HQ.
-Liaise with company safety manager to be identified accordingly site needs.
-Prepare/review Risk Assessments for all aspects of Granite activities.
-Participate/review to Job Safety Analysis development for activities related to Granite scope of work.
-Check PPE compliance for Granite.
-Manage and plan certification process for all equipments under GE responsibility. Highlighting when equipment is due re-certified.
-Log and maintain all safety documents in preparation for audits.
-Set up weekly meeting with Client to review site safety requirements, certificates and relevant training. Apply same rhythm with subcontractors.
-Organize Tool Box Talks prior and during shutdown.
-Set up post outage/installation safety meeting.
-Manage EHS training process for employees according to GE EHS procedure, Client EHS procedure and local legal requirements.
-Organize training sessions in order to comply with defined training program.
-Maintain data base showing current training.
-Manage permit to work


Qualifications/Requirements:
-Degree/Diploma qualified in science or engineering discipline (or equivalent).
-2+ years of experience accordingly EHS profile
-English fluent
-OPITO certification
