Job description
We are now looking for a product manager for our drilling equipment.
As Product Manager, you will be a member of the PC Nanjing URE Marketing team. The team is today two Product Managers, one for LHD and one for TME. The plan is that the department will grow to totally eight persons by the end of 2013, by hiring a Marketing Manager, another three Product Managers, a Communication professional and a person for Regional Business support. You will cooperate closely and also be an associate of the Tunnelling and Mining Equipment ("TME") product line team at PC Orebro.
There is a continuous increase in demand in the mining and construction industry for high performing and reliable mechanized drilling equipment. With our current and future range of drilling equipment, targeting primarily the mid level customer segments, we have a good platform to move our position forward in China and other markets. As product manager you will work together with our engineering department to share the responsibility for the future of our drilling equipment.
Mission
Establish and maintain product strategies within your range of products.
> Produce and maintain sales literature and sales arguments.
> Support and train Area Managers and Customer Centres to improve product knowledge, application knowledge, sales arguments and competitor information.
> Develop and maintain Machine Order templates and a pricing structure (IP) related to product performance and benefits.
> Be responsible for product cost analysis and development.
> Collect and interpret information on customers' present and future needs, and translate this information into Market Demand Specifications for product development projects.
> Be active as a member of product development project-teams.
> Be prepared to assume project leadership for pre-studies and minor projects.
> Contribute to achieve the consolidated sales and profitability targets.
You must be prepared to travel some 30-50 days per year.
Experience/Educational requirements
We expect you to have a university degree or similar by experience in a relevant field.
You should have a few years experience in working in close contact with the construction and mining industry within a Product Company or Customer Centre, in for instance a marketing, service engineer or engineering position. You have to be fluent in Chinese and English.
