Responsbilities:

• Perform as team leader and help the team prioritize and deliver business results balanced with their personal development and fulfillment; including people development plan and career coaching
• Actively maintain career development for Electrical Purchasing organization
• Develop supply base/commodity strategies and take lead on Global Commodity Business Plan retaining to the underbody/controls commodities
• Gather market intelligence in Electrical/Electronics and disseminate to global team members to assist with developing global supply base/commodity strategies
• Negotiate and achieve YOY cost reductions through data mining, supplier workshops, OCE
  development, bench marketing and lean exercises
• Management of annual/multi-year pricing agreements
• Purchasing leadership in cost reduction activities
• Source programs and manage Sourcing Agreements in accordance with Aligned Business
  Framework
• Manage relationships and develop strategy with suppliers and internal customers around supply, quality, and part launches, resourcing and capacity planning (including distressed suppliers)
• Monitoring of financial health of supply base incl. follow-up on further development and establishment of back-up plan in case of risk
• Monitoring of quality and supply of supply base incl. follow-up on further development/ improvement and establishment of back-up plan in case of risk

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Finance related
• 8+ years’ experience
• Strong project management skill
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, and ability to work within a multidiscipline team
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills including good communication skills.
• Clear recognition of the cost pressure on sourcing activities in the region characterized by low volume, a market with a high degree of competitive pressure and limited engineering capability
• Able to implement structured supplier meetings to drive gap identification and closure
• Capable of operating in an International environment and managing relationships with global, regional and local employees/suppliers
• Knowledge of the advance technology industry
• Active participation in internal & external recruitment activities
• Engagement/Collaboration with joint venture partners
• Experience in managing team cross culturally
• Negotiation experience with large multinational companies with Japanese headquarters a plus
• Considerable experience working in a cost model environment
• Active participation in a Global Commodity Business Plan development
• Active participation in a Global Commodity Team
