Position Purpose:

EDS is a complex commodity in EESE and voluminous in part numbers and also Tier II components. It’s a labor intensive commodity and meanwhile one of the highest value commodities in EESE. Tier-II localization is very critical to achieve competitive pricing, otherwise it will attract huge penalty in logistics and import duty for the imports. Buyer is to ensure in achieving required Tier-II local content to meet affordable cost structure.

EDS is B1 commodity & based on" Cost model" pricing, buyer to engage global suppliers to agree to cost model structure to suit APA specific market needs. APA is complex region varied with multiple currencies, unique localization requirement in each market & different duties and taxes. OCE reconciliation is key to achieve the yearly glide path to meet stretch TVM targets. Yearly reductions are physical based discussion than program leveraging, which require meticulous in approach, managing big work load, prioritization of assignments, strategic thinking, wide commodity knowledge, strong negotiation and leadership skill.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Deliver material cost commitment
• Source and deliver programs at set cost, time, quality objectives
• Manage supply base in a due course – to achieve supplier exit plan, improve quality, enhance supplier relationship, manage distressed suppliers
• Develop strong commutation skills with suppliers and cross-function team.
• Develop APA commodity strategy and accommodate to global CBP to achieve APA cost effectiveness
• Build and advance JV relationship to achieve team performance

Requirements:

• Bachelor+ Degree with 3+ years auto/electronics industry experience
• Strong communication skills with team spirit
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good business acumen
• Well organized and strong ownership
• Comprehensive commodity knowledge/ Strong ability to learn
• Strong analytical ability
• Project management skills
• Good relationship building with JV, cross function team and suppliers
