Position Summary:

The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist develops, publishes, and implements test plans for CRM/cCRM solution throughout the full lifecycle of the project. The person also design test methodology, and implement test cases/script in the CRM/cCRM solution. The person gets involved in test execution and generating test result/report as well. Lastly, he is responsible for defining quality assurance standards and tracking quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts in test execution.

Position Responsibilities:

n Defines, develops and implements quality assurance practices and procedures, test plans and other QA assessments

n Creates effective test plans using a variety of toolsets, and manages assigned projects from functional Quality Testing through final User Acceptance Testing.

n Establishes the purpose and deliverables of the test effort, and responsible for the overall success of testing.

n Defines scope and objectives of all levels of QA testing, and participates in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load and system testing

n Works directly with appropriate Merkle personnel to understand project concept, objectives and approach of software development projects.

n Develops automated testing systems using commercial tools, scripts and data sets

n Ensures that all items follow the change management process and are entered and tracked through the change management software

n Provides resource planning, management and resolution of issues that impede the test effort

n Assures the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of important defects by working with developers to ensure the software development process has an appropriate level of testing

n Works collaboratively with development during all stages of projects to provide in-process testing results

n Coordinates groups of business personnel who test, evaluate and validate new functions and applications, and identify issues in software or services

n Records and reports on testing metrics, and tracks and reports defects using appropriate tools such as JIRA

Position Qualifications:

n Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience

n 3 years experience software test experience, working with a structured software methodology

n 3 years experience testing multiple software projects simultaneously

n Experience using SQL to create data sets

n Experience creating scripts for automating processes

n Experience testing in a UNIX environment

n Experience with source versioning control (Subversion, Visual Source Safe, Starteam, CVS)

n Experience in systems integration and user acceptance testing

n Experience diagnosing, reporting, tracking and resolving quality issues

n Familiarity with the following SDLCs: Waterfall, Spiral, Agile and/or Scrum

n Familiarity with Windows

n Ability to solve problems creatively

n Ability to communicate clearly in writing, by phone and in person

n Ability to work independently

n Ability to prioritize, schedule and complete testing required for multiple applications with overlapping schedules

n Ability to launch new projects and follow through to completion

n Willingness and ability to create and adapt to new technologies

n Demonstrated ability to work well with business analysts, programmers and end users in a cross functional team

Desired:

n Experience developing and executing manual and automated test suites

n Experience working in a variety of programming languages and environments

n Experience testing web-based applications

n Experience testing data warehouse processes

n Working knowledge of some or all of the following quality assurance methods: unit, integration, regression, user interface automated testing
