The Electrification Application Engineer will work on new energy vehicle (e.g. HEV, PHEV and BEV) application position to support the product development of hybrid electric and battery electric vehicles in Ford motor company, vehicle launch on-site support and quality improvement;

Job Description

Assist in development of plans, strategies, requirements and process for new energy vehicles

Work with Ford global team to ensure compliance with HV safety standards and develop compliant safe working practices

Develop local xEV key component supply base

Supports electrified vehicle testing, calibration and homologation activities

Supports development of HV standards and advanced electrification studies

Support vehicle launch in JV or Ford plant on time with quality

Support quality improvement activities with cross function team

Support cost reduction activities to achieve program cost target


Qualifications
Bachelor or higher degree in power electronics, electrical & electronics, automation engineering, powertrain system engineering, vehicle engineering, calibration, diagnostic, is preferred

Good knowledge of HEV, PHEV and BEV vehicle basic architecture

Experience on one of below areas: AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC power electronics, system integration, vehicle controlling, powertrain calibration, CAN network diagnostic, OBD calibration, high voltage system testing, or thermal management, is preferred

Good knowledge of system modeling and simulation technology, such as Matlab, Labview, Simulink, dSpace, ANSYS, CATIA, CAE, etc.

Familiar with one of key parts, for instance, converter, inverter, charger, EDS, motor, controller, thermal, is preferred

Drive license, is preferred

Excellent project management skill, is preferred

Willing to trip in domestic and oversea

Excellent teamwork and English communication skills

Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
