The Wheatstone LNG (WSLNG) Project is a grassroots 2 Train Liquefied Natural Gas Facility that will be constructed near Onslow in Western Australia.
The project is employing a modular approach to its execution which includes the assembly of large, complex and heavy Process Modules as well as simple and relatively light Yard Rack Modules. Some of the modules will be assembled at the Kemchana fabrication yard in Tanggu, China. The work will be 100% subcontracted. Applicants for this scheduling position shall have a strong background in construction scheduling and schedule team supervision, with module planning and international experience preferred, along with strong communication skills.
This position will coordinate between the module assembly subcontractor, Bechtel Engineering, Traffic and Logistics and the site construction team in Western Australia. There will be a single overall schedule, containing individual module schedules, resource loaded and logically interconnected. .
This individual will support the execution planning for the module packages. Responsibilities will include evaluating and oversight of the module subcontractor's scope of work and associated lower tier subcontracts planning, input to and support of the project schedule development, and preparing reports and forecasts for the schedule progress and quantity tracking as required. Employee must also provide problem resolution leadership to module team.

Role Overview
Supervises and leads the schedule team based in the Module Yard in Tanggu, China. Responsible for supervising the set-up, development, maintenance and monitoring of the detailed project execution schedules; interrogating inter-discipline schedule requirements / restraints to ensure logical work sequences across all disciplines of the project and coordinate the plan formulation across the entire project. Proven ability in developing detail & management level schedules is essential. Candidate will be required to supervise and provide expert input to all Planning & Scheduling tasks on the project.

The candidate will be a self-starter with a high level of energy and motivation and be proficient in the use of planning tools (Primavera version 7 (P6)), databases, spreadsheets, word processing and power point software. Supervises the development and integration of individual schedules into the total project plan. Establishes milestones for the total project and supervises schedule resource loading and leveling. Supports execution of work in accordance with scheduling standards and procedures.

In addition there will be a requirement to establish reporting tools, streamline on-project scheduling processes and procedures, chair progress meetings, analyze critical paths and restraints to determine effect of change or deviation from the plan, recommend workarounds to mitigate impacts, and maintain an awareness of the schedule risk profile. Highlight potential problem areas using critical schedule impact assessment reporting. Provide guidance to superintendents / field engineers and subcontractors in the requirements of planning / scheduling and progress monitoring / reporting. Candidate is expected to supervise the collection, verification and integration of work scope for all disciplines and periodically review the representation of project scope in schedules and maintain historical schedule data. Candidate will be responsible for the establishment of the Project Schedule Baseline and subsequent revisions by maintaining an audit trail of schedule development and incorporation of schedule trends. Early identification and lagging of deviations from schedule as well as development of mitigation plans will be critical to success in this position.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree required
- Minimum 10 years scheduling experience in home office and/or field capacity for a major EPC firm with experience on large projects. International experience preferred.
- Experience in project module assembly, transportation and installation processes.
- Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing Planning & Scheduling functions in the field,
- Skilled in providing direction, personnel administration, and training of technical and nontechnical personnel.
- Proven ability to work directly with subcontractor scheduling team, Bechtel engineering, Traffic & Logistics personnel and construction site planning staff from multiple, remote locations.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present project plans and schedules to the team members. This includes planning and scheduling independently with minimal supervision using a high level of professional judgment and knowledge related to technical planning and scheduling skills and engineering design and modular construction practices.
- Skilled in oral and written communication with demonstrated skill in presenting information to management / subcontractors / clients.
- Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
