Product Development Unit GSM is responsible for development, release and maintenance of GSM products for Ericsson Radio Access Networks. Ericsson Nanjing is a major partner within this unit working in all areas of development especially in GSM BTS products.

Agile development is our chosen way of working. The foundation is our cross functional and ability teams, consisting of seven or eight SW Developers, responsible for feature development including requirements, design and test who can work with in any of the products or programs we work within. Our vision is to build highly empowered and self-organized teams applying Scrum or Kanban methodology.

We are now recruiting exprienced GSM engineers to start work with following focuses.

· To understand the GSM standard/protocol and radio network functionality

· To ensure GSM BTS system/software design solution

· To develop and run design level tests and function tests on target

· To handle trouble report from function verification and external customers

We also are recruiting deveoper and tester working for the development and maintenance of Ericsson Base Station products. The tasks this position works on are:

· To understand the feature requirement

· To make software design solution and do software development implementation

· To propose test strategy and write test specification and test script

· To set up test environment, run test scripts, analyze test logs and write test report

· To handle trouble report from function verification and external customers

Qualifications:

Technical management:

· BS/MS degree in Communication/Electrical Engineering or related courses.

· 3+ years’ related experience in wireless system design, test or maintenance, GSM experience is preferred.

· Strong hands on skill.

· Knowledge of configuration management and experience on Clear Case /other version control tool.

· Good wireless telecommunication knowledge, GSM knowledge is preferred.

· Knowledge on test strategy and theory

· Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

· Open mind and innovative mindset.

· Ability to work in teams but also ability to take initiative and work independently.

Designer and tester:

· BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Communication/Electrical Engineering or related courses.

· 2+ years’ experience in software design of telecom system.

· Strong programming skills in the languages such as Assembly, C/C++, ERLANG, Python, PERL

· Knowledge of baseband handling and DSP development is preferred.

· Good Real-time OS environment (OSE, VxWorks, Linux, etc.) knowledge.

· Experience in Unix, Linux operating systems.

· Good wireless telecommunication knowledge.

· Experience on Clear Case or other version control tool.

· Knowledge on test strategy and theory

· Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

· Open mind and innovative mindset.

· Ability to work in teams but also ability to take initiative and work independently.
