Requirements and Qualifications:
1. Language and culture – Fluent oral English/Mandarin, good written English/Mandarin.
2. Knowledge and experience – good knowledge of healthcare systems, proven knowledge of healthcare systems in
China,i.e. Nursing knowledge and/or SSD (Sterile Service dept) knowledge.
3. Management – good interpersonal skills, ability to lead an operational team, experience of using formal and informal
methods to organise, plan and coordinate projects and tasks.
4. Communication – Able to work independently within agreed remit, appropriate formal and informal reporting, able to
develop relationships throughout the organisation.
5. Approach – innovative and creative, outcome focussed, track record of taking ownership for problems, identify
solutions and ensuring successful resolution.
6. Preferred knowledge and experience
– Previous experience of working in a sterile service department (SSD) of the hospital preferably at Team Leader or Supervisory level an advantage.
– Relevant engineering and project experience.

Main Responsibilities:
Project Management:
1. To assist the projects manager with the implementation for building the site.
2. To lead and prepare the commissioning and validation documents.
3. Communicate with related users and contractors during the building and commissioning period.
4. To work alongside the team in the collation and evaluation of the customers’ service requirements.

Operational Management:
1. Cohesive management of contract performance.
2. Implement and actively maintain compliance to company policies and defined operational standards set out in the company’s quality standards.
3. Achieve operational development objectives.
4. Management of all staff including recruitment, handling of disciplinary and grievance issues.

Other management:
1. Carry out risk audits in line with the company audit schedule.
2. Implement strategies for risk management to include health and safety, product quality, services quality, operational continuity, major accidents, incidents and crisis management.
3. Carry out internal audits to maintain quality systems.
4. Assist Head of Decontamination to set budgets and financial targets in conjunction with China Management team.
5. Assist the Head of Decontamination with negotiation and implementation of new contracts.
6. Work with suppliers and customers to develop new business opportunities.
7. Employees shall be aware of the responsibilities placed on them under the Health & Safety Legislation and to ensure that agreed health and safety training shall be mandatory for all members of staff.
