Sr. Product Marketing Specialist
Reporting to: Sr. Marketing Manager
Position Scope/Objective:
The position is responsible for planning and executing the product portfolio strategy, merchandising, supporting sales force, meeting sales goal, and program management of specified product line or technology.
Responsibilities:
1. Collect market information, planning and executing marketing strategies: number of competitors, who the major global and domestic players are, their pricing and channel strategy, collect customers' opinion (buying behavior, criteria of purchase decision, pricing acceptance, product package, etc) and identify new business opportunities; follow and monitor the related technology development & application trends
2. Manage product portfolio and launch new products: Work closely with Production Team to manage the new product development until new product launch; Own and drive the product launch process. Conduct or organize product training to sales team and distributors. Monitor, analyze and report product performance (order, quotation, selling price, web traffic) of the assigned & related product line(s); Work with electronic marketing team to develop the right keywords for search engine optimization
3. Managing marketing and selling channels to effectively reach sales goals. Propose & drive advertising strategy / channel to generate or enhance market awareness of the products. Managing and propose selling strategy/channel to generate or enhance the sales of products.
4. Plan and execute promotional activities to drive revenue or share gain; Propose & drive advertising strategy / channel to generate or enhance market awareness of the services; Reach out to customers by attending exhibition / conference or doing customers visits
Education/Experience:
1. At least Ph.D degree in life sciences discipline, or MS degree in life sciences with at least 2-3 years of working experience.
2. Prior selling or marketing experience in life science tool maker company is preferred
3. Practical experience in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, peptide research, cell biology, antibody study, or drug discovery and development is preferred.
4. Demonstrated ability to investigate, analyze information to draw conclusions.
5. Excellent communication skills with multiple sides and the ability of getting consensus.
6. Demonstrated ability to be creative and make plans to achieve the goal through several milestones.
7. Excellent language skill, spoken and written, in Chinese and English.
8. Excellent presentation skill
9. Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Offices
10. Self-managing and self-motivating individual who can prioritize tasks effectively and meet customer expectations and deadlines
11. Proactive problem solver and team players
