Sourcing Specialist-Casting
Primary Objective of Position (General Statement):
Reporting directly to Strategic Sourcing Head - RF, this position will work with various global commodity Managers and lead the effort in planning and implementing local supplier development projects for various parts.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Help identify, evaluate, and assess suppliers with ESAC process.
Participate and support global commodity teams in developing and implementing local supply strategy.
Lead the effort throughout the supplier development phase in planning and developing local suppliers to meet the goals and objectives set by the global Sourcing team and operations
Responsible to coordinate communications and activities between Global Sourcing teams and suppliers in the supplier development phase.
Using CIP, Lean and Six Sigma, and other tools, identify and implement improvements in supplier's overall capabilities.
Coordinate with suppliers on Global and local Emerson supplier initiatives and activities.
Participate in regular supplier performance reviews.
Conduct E-Sourcing to achieve YOY containment objectives
To implement ISO 9000/14000/18000 seriously and improve quality / environment / Occupational Health continuously.

Qualifications:
Experience:
The candidate shall have 3+ years of experience in developing Chinese local suppliers and be familiar with the market landscape for products and suppliers. The candidate shall have 1+ years of experience with with machining, metal fabrication and / or casting process. Candidates should also have experience in managing and/or negotiating commercial issues with suppliers. Ideal candidates will hold an engineering degree and have experience in operations, as well as supply chain or commodity management functions, and be well-versed in Lean and Six Sigma methods.
Education/Training:
BS Engineering, or equivalent
Strong technical skills in appropriate engineering field. Commercial and management experience a plus
Be familiar with ISO system
