Basic Purpose of the Position*
This position will provide design, programming and trouble shooting support of automated controls to plant services department for plant engineering, construction and maintenance work. Primary work load focuses on building HVAC, plant utility systems and certain process utility systems.
Accountabilities
Principal Duties
? Maintain building management system (BMS) compliance with BIVI SOPs and current industry requirements.
? Providing administrative services, such as end user access and training, to ensure conformance.
? Primary resource for automated HVAC and utility system problem solving
? Develop and implement system, facility, and production improvements in alignment with End User and strategic needs
? Assist in Development of preventive maintenance procedures and reliability based activities
? Track the utilization of BMS support functions
? Detailed design of BMS controls documents for new installations and renovations.
? Provide programming, graphic design and system testing of controlled systems
? Provide support for BMS upgrades

Related performance indicators
? Show conformance thru successful inspections and generation of reports as needed
? Proper completion of training documentation and issue management tracking.
? Responsible to address system issues in partnership with facility maintenance personnel and equipment end users
? End user approval of changes or report formats
? As time allows support development of PM procedures.
? Report work performed in support of trouble shooting or modifying existing systems thru work order process.
? On time generation of control system drawings and sequence of operation documents issued for construction for new and renovation construction projects. May include assisting consulting firm or guiding contract personnel in successful completion of this task

? Successful continuation of compliance thru implementation of upgrade.
Requirements
? Strong understanding of building and process automation systems, and related Biopharm industry validation / GMP issues.
? General knowledge of electronics, electrical wiring and communications equipment, HVAC equipment, and central utility equipment.
? General knowledge of mechanical maintenance and construction of buildings, utility piping systems, production and facility machines. Ability to read drawings.
? Maintenance or Engineering experience in pharmaceutical or biological industries is preferred. Understanding of GMP requirements. Familiarity with Good Engineering Practices, Commissioning, and Qualification.
? Five (5) years working experience in multiple maintenance/engineering fields, i.e., project management, validation, electronics, refrigeration repair, boiler operation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
? Willingness to meet with and communicate with a diverse population, including vendors, consultants, BIVI functions, etc. Communication in all forms (face-to-face, telephone, video, and written) is extremely important. Choosing the most effective form of communication is important as well.

Required Education
? Degree / Education: Bachelor Degree
? Major / Focus: Preferably in Engineering, Professional Training or other related field.
? Knowledge and understanding of biopharmaceutical regulations and good manufacturing practices is preferred.
