The Transportation Planner key responsibilities will include the following details…
? Meet the delivery requirements of our customers and the demands of our supply chain strategies.
? Deploy our carrier strategies in order to manage our distribution costs, ensure on-time delivery service, and comply with global transportation regulatory requirements.
? Create SAP deliveries and shipments, determining the correct batch selection for our domestic and international orders, and to manage the daily control reports.
? Make timely decisions on alternate carrier selections, plant scheduling conflicts, resolving logistics problems, and to expedite shipments to our customers and warehouses.
? Familiar with the Import & Export execution and clearance processes under Normal Trade & Handbook application
? Coordinate all import & export activities relating to Nanjing plant and the local 3rd-party WH.
? Timely transfer the import/export information to concerned departments, such as abnormal issues related to customs clearance, estimated goods arrival time, picking up time for export etc.
? Follow up closely with the importing process and have the imported goods available for use when required
? Act as the focal point for export handling, including goods inspection by CIQ, MSA and the documents preparation etc.
? Work together with the freight forwarder to maintain good relationships with local Customs, CIQ and MSA bureaus and any other import & export related government bureaus.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. 5-10 years experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain field with a Bachelor Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain is required. Relevant experience in the Chemical industry is preferred.
2. Be fluent in English and Chinese with Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, facilitation).
3. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail, and the ability to draw conclusions from raw data (data extraction & analysis).
4. Strong aptitude for improving work processes.
5. Prior experience with SAP; Notifications process and reporting tools (BW), Quality Systems, ISO certification protocols and working with a business Management of Change process will be a plus.
