职位描述
POSITION GOALS:
Directs and coordinates activities concerned with mechanical and electrical installation to ensure the works comply with design requirement, government regulations, and client expectation. The MEP Manager is expected to participate in MEP design coordination and management activities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that all on site contractors involved in the project are well coordinated and work together effectively:
?- Monitor MEP construction progress and manage day-to-day project deliverables.
?- Prepare and update MEP schedule for site activities and communication with client.
?- Interact with LDI and client as required to monitor, review and resolve any MEP related issues.
?- Follow-up to obtain drawings/details clarifications
?- Review drawings submitted by LDI and obtain drawings / details/clarifications as required.
?- Regularly review of all pending issues with Site Team to ensure there is no communication gap, develop action plan to resolve at the earliest chance.
?- Conduct periodic meetings with consultants, contractors and agencies to review progress per agreed schedule and follow-up all pending issues proactively to conclude at the earliest.
?- Manage technical handover and sign off by client at the completion of the project.
?- Review the RFP documentation from constructability point of view, provide the work scope, especially trades interface demarcation
?- Review specification from construction point of view to make sure the specification is suitable for the typical project.
?- Review the work method statement from subcontractors.
?- Hold MEP coordination meeting for construction activities.
?- Review the site progress payment to make sure claim from subcontractor reflect the real progress
?- Review MEP VO to make sure the VO is valid
?- Set up the site diary and record system
TECHNICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
? Demonstrate ability to produce MEP project plan and procedures.
? Set up and update construction schedule with MS Project, Excel and/or other scheduling software.
? Ability to interpret, coordinate, and discuss construction drawings of MEP disciplines.
? Good knowledge of HVAC, electrical, P&D, FS and BMS system design and installation requirement, standards and the respective codes.
? Knowledge of security system, AV system, and IT system.
BUSINESS SKILLS AND COMPETANCIES:
? Ability to conduct business development presentation to potential clients in both English and Chinese.
? Understand the legal environment in contracts and be able to manage the site activities accordingly.
? Assist the Project Manager as appropriate to carry out commercial negotiations with contractors.
? Ability to contribute to market analysis and the marketing process.
? Control, manage and negotiate change orders.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
? Motivate site team members.
? Provide leadership to site team including all contractors.
? Maintain and cultivate good relationship with client including all stakeholders.

? Manage construction team members to achieve enthusiastic and effective contribution to the project.

? A high level of competency at the required levels of Project and Development Management as described in the attached “Project Management Competencies” statement.
? Demonstrated willingness and ability to constantly improve existing competencies to exceed the minimum requirements for ‘Service Managers’.
EDUCATION/ WORK EXPERIENCE:
? A degree in MEP engineering related discipline or related field or a combination of formal education and work experience in excess of five (5) years. Construction site management experience is mandatory.
? A strong understanding of all aspects of Development Management including, financial appraisal, risk management, negotiation, etc.
