Job Responsibility:

1. Conduct policy and procedure reviews and updates ensuring clarity and adoption of best practices.
2. Develop and implement effective compliance training programs for employees in the Greater China and Korea region.
3. Advise all levels of employees and management with respect to ethics and compliance issues.
4. Monitor, advise and approve contracts and agreements with health care professionals to ensure compliance with laws, policies and procedures.
5. Monitor and audit compliance with policies and procedures.
6. Conduct investigations of alleged misconduct and violations of policies, ensuring consistent processing, treatment and disposition.
7. Manage due diligence process for relationships with distributors and other third parties.
8. Demonstrate the factors that make up the Edwards Life sciences Credo
9. Administrative functions


Qualification:

* 6 to 8 years legal, compliance, audit or finance experience obtained ideally through a combination of firm and in-house positions.
* Ideally candidate would have experience in the medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical or life science related industries and a solid understanding of ethics and compliance practices, and compliance program design and implementation.
* Ideally candidate would have experience counseling on ethics and compliance issues and knowledge of and experience with healthcare regulations, including regional codes of conduct on interactions with health care professionals, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, UK Anti-Bribery Act and other related laws, rules and regulations.
* Law degree is a plus; Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) is required.
* Demonstrated leadership experience.
* Must have excellent organization skills and practical and creative problem analysis and resolution skills.
* Good interpersonal communications skills with all levels of employees and management.
* Must be highly responsible and accountable and have the ability to perform work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated.
* Superior oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
* Must have high integrity, ethics and strong values as well as the ability to exercise independent judgment.
* Must have the ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and prioritize work as needed to meet client needs.
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Greater China & Korea region culture, norms and laws.
* Ability to travel within the region.
* Fluency in English and Chinese.
