Position Summary:

Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards for the production of mechanical components. Contact with outside contractors or vendors when needed and obtain the optimum in tools, parts, and service for the best cost.



Scope/Supervision and Interaction:

Reports to the China Sourcing Manager, interacts with Divisions QA, Production, Engineering departments, outside with suppliers and customers, etc.



Job Responsibility:

1. Helping existing suppliers to improve manufacturing process.

2. Technical evaluation of suppliers for mechanical parts

3. Analysis and monitoring of the production process

4. Ensure the quality requirements of mechanical parts

5. Coordinate with quality teams to solve technical and quality issues



Qualifications:

1. Degree/Diploma as mechanical engineer with deep knowledge of casting and machining processes

2.Ability to understand and communicate engineering / technical drawing information to vendors

3.Ability to communicate with HPM engineering team during drawing release / change process

4..Knowledge of GD&T, dimensioning schemes and methods

5. Knowledge of material science and analysis as well as of quality control for casting parts and machining

6.. Good command of English (written/oral) and PC skills,

7.. Frequent traveling required
8.Hard working, teamwork and strong communication skills
