SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

? To translate short and long term objectives of the organisation into a plan for managing the plant.
? To determine plant requirements to achieve the plan and longer term capacity and capability.
? To manage purchasing in order to ensure on-time delivery.
? To ensure proper use and implementation of SAP throughout the material management and production process.
? To develop and control capital expenditure budgets.
? To develop production and preventative maintenance schedules
? To investigate and implement improvements to processes, productivity, quality, and cost control..
? To drive a culture of continuous improvement methodology incorporating techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma and 5S methodology.
? To liaise with Manufacturing Managers and is concerned with improving the effectiveness of production, warehousing and distribution of manufactured products and with plans for future developments in these areas.
? To ensure the best quality selection, training, development and utilisation of associates.
? To promote sound working relationships with staff.
? To ensure safe working conditions and that the plant complies with relevant legislation, local requirements and environmental standards.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / TRAINING / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
? Experience managing assembly of engineered products, as well as purchasing and logistics for production with a large number of part numbers.
? Experience working in an SAP environment desired. Experience using an ERP system is required..
? University Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering essential
? Good oral and written communication skills. Fluent Chinese and English.
? Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
? A positive, attitude and "no surprises" mentality.
? Willingness to take responsibility without shifting blame to other colleagues.

DESIRED EDUCATION / TRAINING / SKILLS:
? Ability to communicate in German.
? Fluency in Microsoft Office applications.
? Six Sigma or Lean training is a plus
