职位描述

Position Summary

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing the sales effort within the assigned customer base. The successful candidate will utilize exceptional technical knowledge to recommend product solutions to potential customers while cultivating new relationships and maintaining current customer relationships.


Job Description

· Responsible for achieving the assigned sales quota and managing his/her sales effort within the customer base assigned

· Make regular sales calls including cold calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads and establish long-term, ongoing repeat relationships

· Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations

· Develop sales and marketing proposals for customers on technical products & services

· Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.

· Maintain up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends & government regulations

· Provide necessary reports requested by management in a timely manner

· Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner

· Other duties as assigned.


Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· 3-5+ years professional selling experience in high-tech software, or service related industry

  • Proven track record of consistently meeting / exceeding sales goals
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements

· Experience with enterprise software solutions and large, complex organizations

· Good business acumen with the ability to understanding industry dynamics, the competitive environment and customer business drivers

· Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs

· Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams

· Able to travel throughout sales territory

  • Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills

· Team focused, motivated and results oriented

· Computer Skills related to creation of reports and presentations in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

· Ability to travel 30% of the time both domestically and internationally


Education

· Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university in Electrical Engineering

· MBA a plus
