Purpose of Position

Providing support for daily shipment consolidation and efficient load planning of capacity within Company policies and procedures

Tasks

Consolidation

1 Manage and monitor consolidation / load planning activities of Consol team

2 Lead and provide advice / assistance to members when required

3 Liaise with airlines / subcontractor in solving issues which may arise with consolidation activities

4 Provide CS / Sales with input for Mapping (ETD/ETA, allocation etc.)

Capacity Utilization

1 Give guidance to team members on capacity optimization ( T/T requirement and cargo mix)

2 Liaise with Procurement to add / reduce adhoc allocation needs with carriers

3 Liaise with Procurement to resolve over / under capacities trends

4 Inform Gateway Manager of any irregularities and problems that require assistance

5 Assist to maintain carriers / co-loaders relationship on operational level

Performance, Statistics and Incidents

1 Review with Gateway Manager on incidents with carriers / co-loaders / subcontractors

2 Review with Gateway Manager on carriers / co-loaders / subcontractors performance

3 Provide summary reports on shipments and volumes for respective trade lane

4 To take up additional tasks as assigned.

Authority to decide

1.BSA and Capacity load planning under guidelines of Procurement
2.Making decisions in view of IMS processes.
3.Taking actions in view of operational excellence.
4.Exception handling only after consulting with Gateway Manager

Requirements & Skills

1 Extensive experience in Airfreight and Logistics

2 Consolidation Knowledge and experience

3 Good knowledge on local customs regulation

4 Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills

5 Results and customer focused

6 Analytical and strong problem solving skills

7 Effective team player

8 Able to work under pressurized conditions

9 Creativity and inventiveness

10 Industry experience (3-4 years)

11 Management experience (minimum 1 year)

12.Fluent in written and spoken English (other languages depending on the location)
