职位描述
Report to: GM(German) Base in China
Subordinates: 20
Job Purpose:
Support continued sales growth by developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies, directing a sales team and providing leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth.
Duties and responsibilities:
Establish Sales plans and strategies to expand the customer base and ensures achievement of sales goals and profitability
Develop pricing strategy for each segment together with the responsible Sales Managers and submit for approval of the General Manager. Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on individual OE projects, submit for pricing approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
Evaluate the current business processes and sales approaches, track product line sales and costs by analyzing sales, expense and new business data.
Prepare sales reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data, as well as data on customer research, current market conditions and competitor information, actively informing the General Manager and interfaces at HQ, suggesting strategies and measures to achieve targets.
Control expenses to meet agreed budget targets; plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency.
Prepare action plans by individuals / teams for effective implementation of targets and strategies, to efficiently follow-up sales leads and potentials.
Maintain accurate records of all customer, sales, and activity/visit reports submitted by direct reports. Assist and supervise direct reports in preparation of proposals and presentations.
Conduct one-on-one review with all direct reports to build up effective communications, understand training and development needs, and provide insight for the improvement of direct reports sales and activity performance; provide timely feedback to General Manager regarding this performance.
Determine staffing requirements (JD’s), hire and train new staff based on criteria agreed, set goals and objectives for direct reports, allocate / delegate work duties and supervise staff according to internal regulations, develop staff to maximize potential; monitor staff performance including performance reviews
Insure that all Sales Managers meet or exceed all activity standards for Sales calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closing of sales orders and contracts.
Set-up an effective and team-oriented sales team with clear responsibilities and duties, clear replacement for temporary absence and long-term and healthy development of the department.
Provide three month rolling sales forecast and analyze monthly deviation in actual sales versus forcasted sales
Set-up and lead bi-weekly Video Conference with OE and SOE counterparts at HQ, including set-up of corresponding agenda, timely distribution of meeting minutes and ongoing follow-up.
Build up and maintain contacts with appropriate local authorities, regarding technical certifications, homologations,
Set an example for direct reports in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits, demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all employees.
Prepare budgets and approve budget expenditures and reimbursements of direct reports.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
Update job knowledge and maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Secure internal information by completing regular updates of the public pin board and computer / notebook backups.
Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all departments. Secure effective communication with all colleagues and departments within HQ group.
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years experience in sales within the aftermarket & OEM of engine-related products, ideally with a western automotive supplier, ideally with general/basic technical knowledge about heating and AC or engine related products.
Chinese as a native language, between 38 and 50 years; English skills would be an additional advantage.
Willingness to frequent travelling
Proven track record in sales of products with technical need for explanation/engine-related products.
Open minded, outgoing personality, independent working attitude and hands-on mind-set (practical)
