POSITION DESCRIPTION
In this role, the Senior FI/CO Consultant will work closely with SAP implementation and support teams in a distributed, multi-cultured international team. This position also serves as an SAP partner to financial departments in the Americas Region.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- SAP FI/CO implementation and support in an ECC 6.0 environment for projects, enhancements, and support fixes
- Perform FI/CO configuration to meet business requirements as it relates to the following processes: order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, project systems
- Prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, forms, and other technical enhancements
- Responsible for developing, conducting, and coordinating related training
- Moderate workshops with subject matter experts
- Execute finance and controlling process analysis; advocate best practice process redesign with relevant business partners
- Heavy collaboration with business and IT staff (internal and external)
- Apply FI/CO expertise to identify and exploit new process improvement opportunities in the organization
- Independently document all relevant solutions
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Minimum 6 years of experience with SAP in the following CO areas: CO-PA (Profitability Analysis) and CO-PC (Profit Center Accounting)
- Minimum 4 years of experience with SAP in the following FI/CO areas: GL, AP, AR, Taxes, Foreign Currency,
- Consolidation, Fixed Assets, Cost Center Accounting, Cost Object Controlling, Product Cost Planning
- Ability to interpret, analyse, and deliver financial reports via SAP BW (Business Warehouse)
- Solid FI/CO integration knowledge to the SD, MM, and PP modules
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Effective group presentation skills for driving workshops, training, etc.
- Travel will be required for this position; this includes travel to Asia Countries and Germany. Travel to other European countries and America may be required.
Desired Qualifications
- SAP Certification
- Expertise with accounting principles such as GAAP and IFRS
- SAP inter-company accounting experience
- Hands-on accounting experience in a corporate environment
- German language
