· Support the project manager in developing the remit/scope and project execution plan with respect
to the discipline.
· Engineer and design plant improvements and modifications within defined parameters.
· Advise and support projects and sites with expertise
· Negotiate with contractors and suppliers in the discipline
· Monitor, report and manage project progress in the discipline to the Project Manager.
· Managing and coaching the engineering and construction contractors involved and working in the
discipline, through all the project phases from feasibility to commissioning and handover to
operations.
· Develop and maintain specific technical competences and share and coach other colleagues in same
discipline on the sites.
· Implement BG and Corporate (engineering) requirements and guidelines in the field of process safety
and engineering
· Define and use technical standards for the project using the relevant Site or BU specbook or
recognized international standards.
· Ensure the use of DSM global standards whenever possible.
· Consult and mobilize multi disciplinary / multi Site know how and expertise including external
contractors.
· Follow DSM values, "People, Planet, Profit' and requirements and guidelines.
· Follow defined project management procedures (e.g. Manufex procedures) and ensure work process steps
are effectively completed.
· Ensure integration with other work processes (e.g. Improve plant, Turn-around, Start-up, etc.);
· Execute defined SHE and Quality procedures in Engineering
