- Position Purpose(Overview of the position)
- The purpose for this position is to provide project management, leadership and coordination of the local SYNC team in China, responsible for developing SYNC Gen 2 for APA. The incumbent must project manage the development of SYNC Gen 2 for APA to successfully deliver the system according to product program timelines. To achieve this will require leadership and coordination of the local SYNC Engineers to enable a highly coordinated development exercise, with additional strong communication and coordination links into the Core SYNC Development team in North America.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Project Manage Gen 2 implementation and validation for APA programs.
Manage system development activities within Program Timelines
Coordinate the activities of the Test Engineering team to deliver software test outcomes in required timeline.
Provide direct reporting responsibility for test engineering team.
Provide leadership to SYNC APA team covering both Technical aspects and Project management.
Facilitate identification, documentation, communication and rectification of issues.
Coordinate test resource availability including benches and vehicles for system development.
Candidate Specification:
Education Qualification: Engineering Degree
No. of Years of Experience: Min 4 years /Must have experience with Automotive Multimedia systems development
Professional Exposure(Technical Skills):
Software development and testing. Advanced project management skills. Strong demonstrated team leadership.
Preferred previous experiences: Automotive Multimedia system development and testing.
Functional Skills:
Strong Project Management skills.Strong English Language skills.Understanding of Multimedia systems and Components.
Behavioural Skills:
Ability to Focus on key tasks. Strong Technical Leadership. Ability to prepare and present clear, simple summaries for vehicle development gateways. Ability and persistence to look for alternatives to achieve success where initial responses indicate “NO”. Focus on continuous improvement: process, quality, etc…
Special Knowledge/Skills Required: Familiarity with Automotive Multimedia systems, Bluetooth, Voice Recognition, Navigation and HMI. Specific skill set expected the Candidate
Any Others:
Readiness to travel in support of launch activities.
Awareness and interest in the fast developing Multimedia field.
Candidate will need to display strong leadership and clear English
