POSITION SUMMARY

Purpose


This position is commercially accountable for the management and development of package gas Business in Eastern China market as well as support for PG business development in whole China. A key focus will be to lead sales team effectively, and achievement for package gas sales revenue and profit target in EC. The position has the additional responsibility to lead the Planning & Commitment (P&C) Process for EC package gas & leads business transformation initiatives, also is responsible for the ongoing transformation of the business to create value, improve customer satisfaction, and optimize business processes to accomplish competitive advantage.


Nature and Scope


The Job holder shall be responsible for the attainment of IG revenue and profit targets in eastern China. The job holder shall achieve this through:
The leadership and development of the Package Gases (PG) commercial team in Eastern China. Several area sales managers would directly report to the job holder. The commercial team shall include all inside & outside sales, sales assistant.
Drive high efficiency sales force, implement PGG strategy and action plan, extend market share in eastern China.
Responsible mainly for development the package gas business, sales promotion of package gases with customers, soliciting new business in EC.
Managing our existing customers to growth our business in EC.
The implementation of key business activity, in conjunction with the PG Marketing person & Distribution team & Operation team & other relative department in EC;
Cooperation with the Eastern China PG, CryoEase, Liquid Bulk, Supply Chain & China CSO organisations.
The incumbent should also have an extensive understanding of the gases business & associated commercial processes.

The incumbent of him/her and his/her team will also be expected to:
Meet or exceed all relevant AP safety targets
Meet or exceed all relevant receivables targets
Contribute to the improvement of Customer Satisfaction, as measured by the regular PG & Merchant gas measurements.
Contribute to plans for new PG business development.
Contribute as a key member of package gas China team.
Lead coordination with the China CSO, PG operations and distribution teams.

The job holder will be expected to provide significant contributions for future PG Eastern China Strategic Plans and to provide PG EC input to budget & forecast and P&C activities



DIMENSIONS

Average Annual Portfolio:
Sales Revenue: Depend on PG financial target in Eastern China every year.
Manages existing customers: – make sure to keep all existing customers.
New customers: – 2 new signings by each sales per week.
Visits: - 15 sales call by each sales per week.
500 enquiries: – handle customer enquiries
Monthly Sales Report

Number of Direct Reports (approximate): 3~6
Overall Supervision (approximate: 20~30
Other Factors: Responsible for the overall collection of company account receivable to achieve annual DSO & past overdue target.



PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES


1. Maintain and accelerate development of package gas in eastern China.
2. Lead sales team strong to achieve sales target, budget, marketing analysis, developing business and to assist the Competitive Strategy support for EC industrial package gas business.
3. Meet/Exceed targets for PIP and Margin enhancement.
4. Cooperate with other function team actively, smoothly communicate with relative department.
5. Manage and improve the sales team productivity and insure account receivable in time .
6. Package Gases Product Management in Eastern China
- O2, C2H2, N2, Ar, CO2, He, Mix, LINX, ….etc all industrial package gases
- Product pricing strategy & standards to achieve DP and PIP goals for EC.
7. To growth the package gas business in EC, using gas applications technology and competitive predominance from Air Products.
8. To become the leading experts to meet customer’s requirement in EC for the package gas Sales, Marketing, Value-added Service and application technology support area.
9. To provide valuable information including sales; marketing; prospects, competitor’s activities and their selling stratagems and customer’s service/complain for EC.
10.To work closely with EC’s operation, and others department to improve efficiency and reduce cost for EC.
11.To develop and maintain current customers and database of prospects, customers, and sales trends in package gas sales, marketing, and applications technology and customer service in EC.


JOB REQUIREMENTS


Job Incumbent is expected to have Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline. There is an added advantage if incumbent has a postgraduate qualification in business administration.

4+ years commercial and/or commercial technology experience with business process experience

Job Incumbent is expected to have fluent in both spoken and written English and Mandarin. Knowledge of other dialects and languages would be an advantage.

Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
Job Incumbent is expected to have Self-motivated and goal oriented.
