PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Innovation Center Nanjing is a key location of SAP in China, with the following mission
• As part of DNA to deliver the technology proven solutions to support Strategies & Business Innovations which are not in the scope of SAP today’s existing solution portfolio and development capacity
• Catalyze and accelerate innovation throughout SAP by bringing together cutting edge research and practical experience to create solutions for the Chinese market.
• Drive collaboration between SAP, government, Chinese customers, partners in academia and business, and up-and-coming talents to transform innovative concepts and strategy into success

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As part of Innovation Center Nanjing, the User Experience Designer owns the design of the most impactful user interface related features and participate in the product definition or renewal process with the product owner for our Chinese customers based on Chinese market characteristics and trends, to deliver innovation project which reflect the three major technological trends shaping the future of SAP software: Mobile, Cloud & in memory.
• Provide innovative ideas to simplify the business process which makes it easy to use
• Interpret business requirements into effective UI specifications
• Design and conduct user experience research
• Be responsible for interaction design, including definition of UI patterns (interaction behavior and UI controls)
• Communicate effectively within UX team, product owner and development team to deliver better solution
• Ensures UI specifications are completed in the design phase and is responsible for user experience throughout product lifecycle.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• University degree or above, preferably in Arts, Psychology, Computer Human Interaction, Industrial Design, or other closely related disciplines
• Experience in translating user data and human-factors principles into UI designs via prototypes, and detailed UI reviews/ specifications
• Experience with developing user profiles, use cases, and scenarios. Have experience with two or more formal UI evaluation and requirements analysis methods
• Knowledge with HTML, CSS and Web2.0 is a plus
• Excellent English communication in verbal and written
• Ability to communicate/collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team

WORK EXPERIENCE
• 2+ years of user experience design experiences for consumer software products or enterprise software
• Substantial demonstrable experience in interaction design, complemented by knowledge of visual design, usability, accessibility, and information architecture
