I. JOB IDENTIFICATION

Job Title: Joint Control & Development Engineer
Department: Central Quality Department / Product & Process Development Department
Report to: Central Quality Manager / Casting process engineer

II. JOB PURPOSE

1.To control the quality for outsourced gaskets, ensure the quality of outsourced gaskets is conforming to SG requirements, not be complained by customers;
2.To develop new joint according to the needs from marketing and put it in industrialization with cost optimization and without any quality risk.


III. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Involve in new supplier / new gasket product development

Work with Purchase department and Sales department, to develop new suppliers / new gasket product, according to new supplier qualification procedure.

Tasks :
- Work with / contact with TDC and PAM expert, create the Quality Control Plan and the related technical documents for new gasket products ( for example anchoring gaskets ) . To become the expert in PAM China.
- Carry out qualification audit at new suppliers site
- Define the necessary improvement actions together with suppliers,
- Follow up the action results,
- Carry out further audit if necessary.
- Maintain the records and reports, input to management review.

2. Set up ISO9001 quality management system for outsourced gaskets

Work with purchasing department, push and guide the suppliers to set up ISO9001 quality management system at supplier site. And perform the regular process audit and ISO9001 system audit in supplier factories.

Tasks:
- create regular process audit Quality Control Plan , system audit Checklist and / or other documents
- carry out the regular process / system audit in supplier factories
- define the necessary improvement actions for audit findings, together with the suppliers
- follow up the result of actions
- carry out further audit if necessary
- Maintain the records and reports, input to management review

3. Investigate the customer complaint regarding gasket products, take actions to push the supplier to improve the quality of gaskets.
4. Master the design technology of different joints / accessories / joint tests developed in research center in France and know how to evaluate the potential risk.
5. With the help of technical expert of Research center in France, develop the new joints / joint test in China and localize accessories without any quality risk according to the needs from marketing.
6. Prepare the joint training documents and deliver the training to marketing, production, quality and sales.

IV. WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT

1.Based in Ma’anshan or in Xuzhou, business trip to supplier factories.
2.Work at supplier site from time to time.
3.Irregular working time possible for business trip.
4.The working language Chinese and English.


V. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1. Minimum university degree, major in polymer material is preferable.
2. More than 3 years working experience in Industrial environment.
3. Good knowledge on ISO9001 quality management system.
4. Good knowledge of suppler management.
5. Skillful in computer application.
6. Fluent in English.
7. Good organization, presentation, reporting and communication ability.
