Job Title: PR Specialist/Coordinator

Report to: Country manager&global PR manager

Job Location: Shanghai

The local PR specialist or coordinator will act as their local PR representative in China and is responsible for the local PR activation in line with the corporate strategy with support from HQ

The PR specialist/coordinator will be the first/only point of contact for the local media/press offices.

Main responsibilities:

l Create and execute the local PR plan in line with the corporate strategy.

l Responsible for media outreach with the aim to establish strong media relationships.

l Set up relevant media lists (offline, online and social) and make sure these are kept up to date.

l Responsible for the local activation of the company’s PR related initiatives and local adaptation of all master press releases and media alerts.

l Responsible for the product seeding outreach to celebrities, stylists, DJ’s etc.

l Timely notification of issues so that the global team can take immediate action towards issue management.

Requirements:

n Education

Bachelor degree in marketing/communication

n Experience

At least 3-5 years of relevant working experience in lifestyle PR, preferably some agency experience

n Specific knowledge

Fluency in written and spoken English as well as Mandarin.

n Business understanding

Result-driven, keeping a focus on return on investment,

Good understanding of Chinese media landscape, both traditional (print&broadcast) and online (bloggers)

Strong relationship builder, able to network and find the right type of connections with media and influencers (celeberties, stylists, and bloggers)

Excellent communications skills
