Position Title: Officer, Direct Procurement





Work Location: Pudong - Shanghai (Shuttle Bus Provided)


Reporting to: Assistant Manager, Direct Procurement


People Management Responsibility: No

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. In close coordination with other sourcing colleagues and colleagues overseas, process all orders, order related documents timely and properly. Be the focal point for order management issues ex China for BASF colleagues globally. Be focal point for Chinese suppliers related to BASF export business.


2. Follow-up order process including order confirmation, order filing and order tracking. Furthermore shipment schedules, shipment follow up on regular and timely basis. Ensure that global communication flow is updated and running.


3. Actively manage Chinese suppliers to comply with BASF requirements for order processing and packaging. Report need for action to supervisors. Keep close communication with suppliers and other external parties for order execution and follow up. Act as window of sourcing department for order process related issues.


4. Ensure that database input is appropriate and timely. Give input to develop database further to reflect growing business and key attention to areas of EHS and responsible care. Define sourcing processes in line with supervisor and input presentations accordingly into general part of purchasing database (e.g. sourcing for NAFTA, sourcing for Coatings).


5. Conduct active quality management and continuous improvement in channeling complains to Chinese suppliers and coordinate action plans and follow up together with supervisor and colleagues overseas.


6. Take charge of sample coordination and sample follow up. Ensure that sample sending process is constantly adjusted to international requirements and closely coordinated with expert units within BASF Group such as GRC/KN, GRL or GU and Chinese colleagues. Make sure that EHS and Responsible Care guidelines are implemented, report deviations/need for action to supervisor.





REQUIREMENTS:


1. College degree or above


2. Better have 2 years experiences in chemical company


3. Good communication and interpersonal skills.


4. Good command of English both in verbal and written.
