Process Engineering Technician
We have an exciting position as a Process Design Engineering Technician located in Changzhou, China. The technician will provides technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel.
Detailed Description:
1.Support the process development and launch for both derivative and non-derivative new products.
2. Set up sample line processes fixtures and equipment
3.Build A and B level samples
4.Conduct designed experiments to understand process variables
5.Run tests to validate that specifications are met.
6.Create process documentation including work instructions visual aids and route sheets for samples capture lessons learned for transfer to production process and equipment design.
7.Make recommendations to improve manufacture of new and existing products.
8.Assist in the debug and qualification of new production equipment.
9.Travel to the make sites in China and assist equipment installation set up and training of BCP site personnel prior to launch.
10.Experimentation data analysis equipment troubleshooting
11.Assist on advanced quality planning (APQP) documentation as needed
12.Carry out sample line equipment PM’s as needed
13.Support the milestones of the NPD process as well as the IMP process for transfer to the make sites

Skills and Educational requirements:
1.College degree in technical field is required
2.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Additional requirements:
1.Must be able to balance multiple priorities and receive direction from multiple engineers as required.
2.Should be self directed and well organized
3.Technical writing and capturing experimental results and analysis for future references is an area to help with future process development efficiency.
4.Problem solving skills including the ability to diagnose root cause of equipment and process problems.
5.The ability to perform device failure analysis if needed.
6.Be able to interpret data and make observations/recommendations from experimental results.
7.Must have working knowledge of basic statistics (mean, sigma, Cp, Cpk, etc.)
8.Experience with welding, wire bonding, electrical testing, soldering, dispensing, and automated assembly equipment is beneficial.
9.Candidate must be able to work in clean room environment when required and maintain controls.
10.Ability to train sample builders, failure analysis personnel, and Make site engineers and technicians as needed.
11.Able to communicate effectively with all functional groups (design, Mfg., quality, etc.)
12.Be willing to ask for help and provide assistance to others when needed.
13.Previous experience in a process or manufacturing engineering environment is preferred.
14.Ability to perform light machining such as cutting open parts for failure analysis is also preferred.
15.International travel experience is also a plus.
