The Continuous Improvement (CI) Consultant is responsible for working with management to drive the execution of the CI strategy and approach. The CI Consultant is responsible for influencing organizational change using continuous improvement methodologies to drive a process honoring organization. This is accomplished by leading and mentoring project initiatives, training resources, leading various projects and helping to deploy the continuous improvement program. This role must be an empowered leader who can drive results, proactively identify improvement opportunities, and work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Project Execution and Value Realization

· Utilize continuous improvement tools and methods to scope and execute non-build improvement projects

· Work with the management to ensure that identified improvements are successfully implemented and that the promised benefits and value are being captured

· Set and continually manage program goals and objectives with management and key stakeholders

Continuous Improvement Leadership

· Assist in the development of the continuous improvement deployment strategy and approach

· Assist management in project evaluation, selection, scope, definition, and performance measurement to ensure alignment with the organization strategy

· Drive continuous improvement culture change through best practice sharing, vocal advocacy, and visible leadership

· Define and implement governance to ensure improvement plans, methodologies and quality standards are followed

Capability Development

· Mentor and coach employees on CI approach, methodologies and tools

· Act as a subject matter expert to coach management, team members and key stakeholders on CI

· Remain current in continuous improvement principles, tools and networks inside of Cargill

Project Communication and Change Leadership

· Accountable for keeping the CI Lead, sponsors and stakeholders aware of key program milestones, performance measures, issues and risks

· Ensure management alignment with CI program goals, objectives and approach

Miscellaneous Duties as assigned

Requirements

· BA/BS or equivalent experience

· 3+ years work experience

· Experience utilizing formal and informal networks within an organization to deliver results and remove obstacles for team members

· Demonstrated ability to directly and indirectly influence a large, diverse group of stakeholders at all levels within the organization

· Proven ability to identify issues, obtain relevant information, and relate / compare facts from different sources to identify solutions

· Proven ability to use expertise, experience, and network to manage through ambiguous situations

Technical Skills

· Analytical Problem Solving: Able to identify problems; apply structured and disciplined methodology to identify root cause using data

· Ability to facilitate small and large cross-functional teams

· Ability to build strong working relationships
