Production Manager-Fortune 500 MNC Oil Gas industry

Our Client Background
Our client, as one of the world’s leading energy companies. Now in China, we involved in Upstream (oil and gas exploration and liquefied natural gas), Downstream (Oil Products and Chemicals) and Projects and Technology (Global Solutions and Coal Gasification) businesses.

Now in Tianjin, we have one factory, and we are looking for one strong candidate to be Production Manager.

Reports to: Plant Manager – Tianjin
Work location: Tianjin

Responsibility:
? Ensures that all activities carried out within the production function to comply with Group HSSE and Legislative standards and requirements
? Works closely with other Functional units such as Engineering (Projects & Maintenance), IT & Process Control, Quality Control & Assurance and Contractors (if any), and ensures Production Volumes meet Production Plans (by product type, quality, quantity, timing) and Business Plans (by expenditure and HSSE targets).
? Manages Off-Site Operations including Ship-to-Shore Operations/Rail-side Discharge/Loading Operations/Bulk Vehicle Loading and Oil Movement Operations including Interceptor and Utilities Operations
? Ensures Production Resource levels and shifts are organized, enabling Production Volumes to be achieved, including all job descriptions and competencies are in line with Competency Framework.
? Proactively manage the integration of Production Activities with Production Plans determined by, and with the Participants in the S&OP process, including HSSE, Planning, Engineering Maintenance and Quality Control and Assurance.
Implements Our Group or Country specific recommendations, whichever is the more stringent, and manuals related to product handling procedures, operating processes, working with operational capabilities of hardware on the site, implementing safety equipment and clothing where required.
? Assists the Plant Manager and works with the Plant Performance Analyst with diagnosing/resolving plant failures, operational issues, with cost and performance benchmarking, identifying trends/gaps relative to comparators, and translate these to operational targets and actions.

Skill & Experience
? Mastery on HSSE MS
? Professional in lube product and production knowledge
? Good command on SAP system
? Skill in implementing ISO management system
? Bachelor or above degree in management or engineering
? 8 years working experience in production, at least 3 years of production management experience
? Strong communication and coordination skill, strong accountability
? The position requires hands-on shop floor supervision experience and a flair for managing literate/semi literate work force.
? Knowledge of local language is critical.
? Understanding of operation excellence tools such as ‘5S’ ‘TPM’ and ‘lean production’
