JOB TITLE: Commodity Supervisor (with 1 direct report-commodity buyer)


LOCATION NAME: Shanghai Office



REPORTS TO: Commodity Manager



DEPARTMENT: Global Purchasing



GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:



OBJECTIVE:



Achieve the yearly material cost saving to support Federal Mogul's BU achieve cost-efficient purhcashing activity.To develop the supply base mainly in China and other part of Asia for Federal Mogul's manufacturing and marketing of all responsible products and commodities world-wide. Support global sourcing activity sucuess for US/Europe-based commodity teams' initiatives in Asia. Facilitate the globalization of Federal Mogul's supply chain.



MAIN DUTIES

l Achieve individual material cost saving objectives yearly

l Achieve the supplier DPO target yearly and supplier reduction target yearly

· Find and evaluate new suppliers, including assistance in quality audits and supplier development.

· Support the suppliers OTD and PPM target with SQD team

· Support the goals of Europe and USA-based Commodity teams on resourcing projects.

· Support the global sorucing project with certain increase APV objectives

· Support the product development needs of Federal Mogul's marketing and sales teams in Asia



COMPETENCIE/AUTHORITY:

· Supplier assessment and evaluation.

· New supplier development.

· Project management

· Price and terms negotiation.

· SAP or other similar ERP system



JOB REQUIREMENTS:



· BA in business or engineering.

· 3-5 years purchasing experience in the multinational company. Prior experience in automotive industry in Asia is preferred.

· Ability to work across a variety of cultures and mindsets.

· Strong understanding of the key success factors of efficient global supply chain management.

· Ability to work in a team environment across all corporate functions: engineering, marketing, purchasing, production.

· Good written, and oral communication skills.

· Computer literate (Word, Excel, Access).

· Willingness and ability to travel.

· Self-motivated, able to manage many projects simultaneously.

· A system thinker able to understand and respond to the broad needs of internal customers.

· Solid analytical skills, with excellent follow-up and attention to detail.

· Proficiency in spoken and written English(MUST).

· Ability to travel.
