JOB TITLE: Unix/Linux Administrator
LOCATION: Shanghai Office
REPORTS TO: Database Administrator (direct)/IS Director, AP (administratively)
FUNCTION/DEPARTMENT: Information Systems
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
？ Must be fluent in English both written and spoken.
？ Install, configure and maintain servers running AIX, RedHat, and SuSE Linux in both physical and virtual environments. With an emphasis on Linux experience. HP-UX Experience is a plus.
？ Install related products and support tools, third party and custom applications.
？ Perform preventative monitoring, performance analysis, and operating system patch management.
？ Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network related problems.
？ Use scripting or other programming languages to automate processes and maintain the application environments.
？ Ability to work in a project driven environment and take on an architecture and design role as needed.
？ Must be able to follow established processes and procedures.
？ Strong focus on the effective resolution of customer issues.
？ Other tasks as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
？ 5+ years experience supporting Linux/AIX operating systems.
？ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the English language.
？ Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results.
？ Ability to effectively work in a global team environment ensure 24/7 coverage utilizing a 'follow the sun' support model.
？ Shell Scripting and system tuning experience.
？ Experience with virtualization technologies and high availability.
？ Experience with SAN technologies including but not limited to Hitachi.
？ Candidates must have the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
？ Must possess a disciplined approach and commitment to delivering on Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
？ Strong analytical approach to problem solving and solution development.
？ Experience working with a very formal change control process.
？ SAP experiences a Plus.
？ Oracle and SQL Server database experience a Plus.
