Reports To：VP Business Development


Specific Accountabilities：
· Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Commitment to HSE without compromise, and compliance with MWP HSE requirements.
· Act as an senior BD leader to actively promote our general, industry specific and differentiated services, including but not limited to Project management, Detail design, EcoNomics and IMPROVE for the projects in and outside of Chian invested by those state owned clients.
· Formulate, recommend, obtain management approval, implement and monitor marketing plans to maximise sales (winning of projects), for both standalone projects and long-term customer relationships.
· Develop market research methods and indicators to identify major prospects. Establish pursuit strategies to maximize the probability of winning each major identified project.
· Participate in the preparation of annual and medium term financial plans to ensure they are feasible in marketing terms, project market mix and sales value.
· Work closely with the Operation GM’s, CSG Leaders and other business managers in BD activities, and to provide market intelligence and co-ordinate corporate and business unit BD plans for each required customer sector group, as well as cross-CSG/Operation/Region project opportunities.
· Direct, support and/or carry out BD and marketing campaigns as required. Provides leadership in the preparation of proposals and statements of qualifications.
· Brief senior management on the economic and business viability of major proposals for potential clients, thereby ensuring business won is profitable and well positioned.
· Assess potential sales and marketing opportunities and recommend the allocation of financial and human resources for converting these opportunities into achieved sales.
· Negotiate with selected major potential clients and provide marketing and sales support to WP China or its specific operation and CSG Leaders to ensure they have a competitive edge when negotiating major sales and contracts.
· Support of negotiation of contracts. Help to provide indication to the management for them to determine pricing and obtains senior management approvals.

Requirements:
· At least 12 years’ experience in business management and development
· Good relationship and network in the State owned companies
· Demonstrable commitment to HSE management. Proactively engage and adopt HSE requirements and promote HSE awareness.
· Excellent leadership, customer focus, written and oral communication skills, and well as strong interpersonal and presentation skills
· Able to demonstrate a high level understanding of professional services in engineering and project management, including procurement services
· Demonstrable track record in the successful wins of major projects and in the development of strong customer relations
· Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of business drivers and how to support business units in meeting its strategic objectives, particularly in achieving revenue and profit targets
· Able to demonstrate strong ability in working collaboratively with senior management and engineers
