Our client is a leading company in energy industry, MNC, we have global net work around world; now in Beijing we are helping to find one Seismic Interpreter Geophysicist for one segment, see more specific requirements below

Responsibilities:
- Condition well data for seismic integration within projects. Tasks may include data loading, well log editing, petro physical analysis and rock physics analysis
- Works on long term studies for Clients, applying geophysical interpretation for prospect development or as an input to geological models for fluid flow simulation.
-It may involve applying amplitude versus offset (AVO) analysis and recommendations for seismic acquisition and processing.
- Seismic data interpretation to be used for multiple purposes depending on project requirements.
- Components could consist of: using inversion data (AI, Vp/Vs or PR, density) for calculation of various reservoir properties
- Interpretation to establish background or Low Frequency Model and velocity trends for the process of inverting the seismic data to absolute acoustic impedance.
- Synthetics generation, well tie analysis, velocity modeling by integration of well derived and seismic derived velocity fields and trends, depth conversion, depth residual analysis and associated uncertainty for depth prediction.
- Tasks also require a thorough background in geology to contribute in the identification and correlation of stratigraphic units within and between wells using sequence stratigraphic concepts from well log domain to seismic domain.
- Structural analysis for fault, fracture and regional structural style identification.
- Analysis of fault sealing properties and trapping mechanism.
- Understanding of sedimentological analysis for definition and mapping of seismic facies types and associated properties.
- Understanding of rock physics and rock properties and impact on seismic data and attributes.
- Incorporate AVO/Inversion results into reservoir evaluation / characterization.
- Maintain and ensure consistency between structural interpretation and seismic inversion results
- Identification of geological and geophysical uncertainty for risk analysis.
- Contribute to the identification and mapping of permeability barriers
- Contribute to the identification and quantification of reservoir compartmentalization
- Contribute to the identification of flow pathways and flow units
- Understand at application level the use of direct and geostatistical modeling techniques where applicable (neural networks, PCA, and classical statistical methods)
- At higher seniority level, a significant part of the time should be devoted to people development, training, teaching and knowledge sharing, peer reviews and act as technical leader in a sub segment operational unit.
- Contributes in specific technical area with supervision.
- Maintain close interaction with other disciplines for optimum project quality.
- Keep abreast of developments within well log acquisition and processing and stay current with company specialized software.
- Collaborate with other petro-technical disciplines and maintain close interaction with other disciplines for optimum project quality. Liaise with third clients, as required.
- May participate in a structured technical training program.
- Represents the Organization at Service Quality meetings, forums and conferences.
- Complies with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures.
- Successfully completes required safety training

Competencies:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree or other higher Degree in Engineering or Pure or Applied Science. Preferred MSc or MA in Geoscience.
- Experience in the log acquisition/ processing /interpretation of Geophysics or Petrophysical data in a commercial environment is preferred.
- Can handle projects of medium-high complexity
- Expert skill in techniques, tools, processes and practices within area of expertise
- Advanced oral and written communication skills:

- Actively participates in Oil & Gas E&P forums, symposiums, etc.
- Capable of setting of own and team's objectives and identifies key requirements.
- Able to identify, assess and manage risk effectively in a project based environment.
