职位描述
Principal Accountabilities
1. Maintain a safe and healthy workplace throughout the production departments, including
goal-setting, planning, organizing, and controlling safety and health activities; ensuring
safety rules are observed; and promptly investigating safety hazards and their remedies.
2. Organize and direct the activities of production departments in a way that ensures product
quality and established delivery dates meet or exceed company standards and customer
specifications. Ensure adherence to quality control standards and practices.
3. Responsible for the efficient flow of castings through production. Foresee and address
potential problems that may adversely affect any and all aspects of the production process.
Identify opportunities to enhance production efficiency. Ensure that working conditions
promote an efficient operation by implementing good housekeeping practices.
4. Develop, and operate within, the production budget involving all assigned departments so as
to control costs of direct labor, materials, supplies and equipment.
5. Ensure that departmental plant equipment is operated, maintained, and repaired in a costeffective
and correct manner, minimizing production downtime.
6. Select, develop, motivate, and effectively supervise a staff capable of meeting departmental
goals and assuring management succession. Ensure that proper departmental training is
provided so that assigned personnel perform to established quality standards.
7. Participate with other managers and executives in long-range planning and overall
management of the company in accordance with plant and corporate directives. Consult with
other managers on quality standards, production control, workplace safety, and human
resource issues.
8. Communicate effectively with various departments within the organization as well as with
customers, vendors, and others who have an impact on production goals.
9. Maintain and adhere to ISO standards, including (but not limited to) the Quality Policy
Statement as well as the Quality Control Procedures Manual.
Necessary Qualifications:
1. B.S. degree in an engineering-related field preferred, with 5-8 years in a manufacturing
environment, along with supervisory experience.
2. Fluent in English and have effective oral and written communication skills.
3. Efficiently direct all phases of the production process involving safety, product quality,
production efficiency, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.
4. Prioritize and meet all production goals in a timely and efficient manner and be able to
implement plans in accordance with the established schedule.
5. Create and maintain an operational environment that addresses employee issues in an
effective and efficient manner.
6. Develop and control budgets for multiple areas of responsibility.
