COMPANY INFORMATION
? USA Based Manufacturer
? 2012 Estimated Annual net sales: $200million USD
? Total Plant Staff: 2000
Very strong communication skills and a solid understanding of a manufacturing business are required to ensure this candidates success. This person will be a key member of the leadership team and will be required to take the lead in development of a high performance HR team. This person must be the lead in implementation of HR systems, policies and procedures while managing both up and down in the org. This candidate will be a problem solver, able to provide strong support to management, possess outstanding negotiation skills, and have strong communication skills, both oral and written in both Mandarin and English.
HR Director' Responsibilities:
? To prepare and implement the JV's personnel policies, practices and procedures in respect of associates.
? Strong background with labor unions and manufacturing HR.
? To assist with the recruitment of suitable qualified personnel to meet requirements of operating and functional areas.
? To implement and supervise the salary administration plan and related matters.
? To have a solid understanding of Chinese Labor Laws and Employment Contracts.
? To liaise with union, government departments, etc as required.
? To implement and assist with associate training plans and maintain training records.
? To maintain personnel records.
? To arrange referee reports, related reference checks, pre-employment medical assessments as required.
? To assist with the operation of job evaluation and performance appraisal programs
? To ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in relation to HR.
? To liaise with Financial Department in relation to salary and wages.
? To manage compensation and benefits.
? To provide information to management for budgets and special projects.
? To manage workmen's accident claims and assist in rehabilitation of associates as required.
? To conduct exit interviews and monitor any trends.
? To carry out other tasks as required by Management from time to time
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
? MUST HAVE JV EXPERIENCE in a MNC
? Relevant HR qualifications & experience
? Initiative & the ability to work under pressure
? Ability to follow through & complete tasks in a timely manner
? Ability to meet deadlines
? High level of accuracy & attention to detail
? Sound negotiation & communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels
? Patience & flexibility
? Accurate data entry skills
? Desire to build & lead a high performance HR team
? Computer literate with PC & mainframe
? Experience with MS Office Applications (Intermediate to advance level Excel)
? Experience with computerised payroll systems
