DIVISION : Surface Drilling Equipment

LOCATION : Nanjing, China

DEPARTMENT: Research and Development

POSITION TITLE: Research and Development Engineer

SUPERVISOR: Manager - Research and Development

Position Objective
This position is responsible for designing and developing surface drilling equipment and structural components.

Principal Responsibilities
? Design structural components for surface drilling equipment
? Design mechanisms for different part of the surface drilling equipment
? Create and maintain bill of material for the product and sub-assemblies
? Participate in continuous product improvement process
? Select standard hardware and components
? Support sourcing group in selecting and qualifying suppliers
? Calculate and analyze load and stress level in structures and components
? Select material and specify manufacture process
? Assist manufacture on any mechanical related issues and find solutions
? Assist technical service and customer centers on any field problems
? Follow the company and international standards for all the designs
? Participate in new product development and follow project process
? Write machine test procedures when needed

Education
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Minimum Years of Work Experience
5 years

? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
? Team player - open-minded and flexible
? Must be a hands-on type of person
? Self starter and goal orientated
? Attention to details and strong sense of responsibility
? Willing to work in a manufacture environment
? Willing to travel to area with rough working conditions such as mines and construction sites
? Strong background in mechanical component and mechanism design
? Experienced in 3D/2D design and draft ability and familiar with Pro Engineer or Solid Works
? Knowledge in hydraulic system
? Experience and knowledge in mining or construction machinery
? Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards of this type of product
? PC literacy (MS office)

Language Skills Requirements
Must be fluent in Chinese and English both written and verbal
