Job Title: Project Manager
Reports to: Director of Architecture
Basic work location: Beijing

Key Responsibilities

• The individual is responsible for commercial or public sector, technical contractual activities on one or more projects of various sizes
• The individual is the company's prime contact with the client and as such is responsible for promoting continuing relations
• The individual is also responsible for field construction efforts, design phase services and all subcontracting as well as participating in all major technical, cost, scheduling and performance decisions
• The individual may perform as a Project Architect during his/her absence, with skill set of an expert within the corporation

Education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and attributes needed for the position
Education / Experience:

• BS or MS degree and a professional registration or license are preferred
• 10+ years of experience as a project manager
• Experience in an international design company

Knowledge:

Knowledge and experience in leading multi-office teams for large-scale complicated projects such as corporate headquarters, office, hospitality, retail and mixed-use, with high-rise expertise preferred

Knowledge of labor and fee estimates

While performing as a Project Architect, knowledge of building technologies and design standards in China and/or in US with capabilities of developing solutions to problems of unusual complexity scope that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity

Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with clients, design teams and consultants
• Analytical, planning, prioritizing, problem solving and decision making skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work efficiently
• Computer skills including 3D computer programs

Abilities:

• Able to effectively interface with diverse groups
• Able to maintain a high level of accuracy and attend to details
• Able to prioritize, plan and schedule activities to achieve objectives
• Able to work under pressure, organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
• Able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
