Job Title: Senior Architectural Designer

Reports to: Director of Architecture

Basic work location: Beijing

Key Responsibilities

• The individual will work independently as a project designer leading multiple projects
• The individual will creatively advance the design concept and work with the design team to ensure the design integrity
• The individual will author and/or assign to specific team members the design and development of ideas, techniques and standards
• The individual will participate in the implementation of the project process including programming, space planning, conceptual design, design development and construction documents
• The individual will visit construction site as an architectural design expert

Education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and attributes needed for the position

Education / Experience:

• BA/BS or MA (Master of Architecture)
• 10+ years of experience as an architectural designer
• Experience in an international design company

Knowledge:

• Knowledge and experience in leading multi-office teams for large-scale complicated projects such as corporate headquarters, office, hospitality, retail and mixed-use, with high-rise expertise preferred

Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with clients, design teams and consultants
• Analytical, planning, prioritizing, problem solving and decision making skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work efficiently
• Excellent presentation skills and highly skilled in PowerPoint software
• Highly skilled in 3D computer software including Microsoft CAD (Revit as a plus), Rhino, Sketchup and etc.
• Highly skilled in graphics software such as Adobe package

• Able to maintain a high level of creativity and attend to details
• Able to prioritize, plan and schedule activities to achieve objectives
• Able to work under pressure, organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
