Primary Objectives

The main objectives of the Delivery Manager, Asia Pacific are:

· Leadership – Ensure all team members are equipped with the support, skills and knowledge to perform to their maximum potential

· Resource Management – Ensure all tasks are resourced by an appropriate team member and all team members are fully occupied at all times

· Technical Guidance – Provide team members with technical guidance and support to ensure that the best possible solutions are designed and developed

· Process/Quality Improvement – Ensure all solutions released from your team conform to high quality standards with a focus on continuous improvement

This specific opening is for the delivery of solutions in the Media Systems space. The main purpose of this role is the development and enhancement of systems that assist the end user in administering the selection, booking and performance monitoring of media.

Responsibilities

Leadership

· Mentor, coach, motivate and build a positive culture among your team

· Monitor quality of work performed by all team members

· Lead by example by setting high standards for yourself and your team

· Develop and regularly monitor KPIs and improvement goals for all team members

· Make recommendations regarding individual or group reward programs

· Organise regular information sessions to educate developers on new technologies, best practices and other areas identified as helpful

Resource Management

· Assign tasks to resources that have the appropriate knowledge, skills and experience to fulfil the requirements

· Provide realistic impact summaries and development estimates for proposed enhancements

· Maintain an understanding of and provide regular progress reports on the status of tasks being undertaken by team members

· Ensure all resources are effectively and efficiently utilised at all times

· Recommend to management optimal team sizing and structure

Technical Guidance

· Provide technical guidance to business analysts and project managers as required

· Review and provide feedback on designs created by team members

· Review and suggest areas for improvement for all application design work

· Ensure architectural design guidelines and standards are followed

· Proactively review applications to identify potential improvements

Process/Quality Improvement

· Implement, maintain and monitor adherence to coding, user interface and architectural standards within your team

· Ensure development processes are utilised to increase productivity and improve quality

· Ensure all solutions utilise a standard framework

· Ensure standard development, build and testing environments are utilised

· Ensure appropriate tools are available and utilised to increase productivity and improve quality

· Ensure your team implements and adheres to all GroupM standards and best practises

· Actively work towards ensuring all solutions within your team are user friendly, high performing, high quality, modern applications

· Perform random coding reviews to ensure applications are being developed as designed and code is of a high quality

Qualifications

· Bachelor degree in either Software Engineering or Computer Science is required

· Microsoft certifications such as MCPD will be highly regarded

Experience and Knowledge

Essential

· At least 7 years experience in a software engineering role

· At least 5 years experience working with the Microsoft .NET Framework with proficiency in v3.5 or above

· At least 5 years experience working with Microsoft SQL Server with proficiency in 2008 or above

· At least 5 years experience developing multi-tier applications in Microsoft based environments

· At least 2 years experience in a leadership role

· Experience working with Windows Forms applications

· In depth knowledge of common design patterns

· Detailed knowledge of web services or WCF

· Detailed knowledge of agile or iterative development methodologies

Desirable

· Experience in the media or advertising industries

· Experience working with teams across multiple physical locations

· Knowledge of project management methodologies

· Proven commitment to personal improvement outside the work environment

· Experience using BizTalk
