PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Be responsible for product transfer project including technical specification finalization, product design/modification concepts, project schedule and tracking, till mass production.
2. Turning design concepts into technical plans using CAD/Solid Works/ProE etc software.
3. Design and complete the test lab for life and performance test for different PSG products. Prepare the test procedures and instructions as well as the test sheet for testers, collecting and analyzing the data from tests, prepare the final test reports and work with HQ and QC department on parts release to production notice.
4. Modifying designs and re-testing, there are several stages before a product is ready for manufacturing.
5. Create the item master and BOMs in the ERP system.
6. Prepares and maintain Engineering Change Notes, work with HQ to get and record all ECNs. Set up PSG (Shanghai) drawings management procedures and distribution system, maintain the drawings and engineering documents database.
7. Learn and understand technical specifications well on all PSG products.
8. Other duties and projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
· Knowledge of mechanical products design, pumps design preferred;
· Knowledge of product development process and project management;
· Skilled in AutoCAD, Solidworks, Pro/E etc software, skilled in FEA software is a plus;
· A creative approach for generating new ideas;
· Willing to learn new technology and progress;
· Knowledge of ERP system.
· Minimum of a BS in Mechanical Engineering;
· Fluent English in both speaking and writing;
· Minimum 5 years design and technical experiences;
· Pump or mechanical assembly industries preferred;
· Multinational company experience required.
· Good communication skills for interaction with all departments within and outside of company;
· Willing to learn new knowledge and work under pressure;
· Good teamwork skills.
· Being active, creative and innovative is a plus.
