Job Description and Qualifications
Overview:
- To manage the execution of projects, involving high technology equipment, engineering and services, to achieve project completion on time, within budget, and at the required levels of quality, taking into account safety and reliability. Provide assistance to the Business Matrix Core team for nominated proposals in the preparation of engineering data, definition of the scope of work and Project Execution Strategy, for estimating purposes and for presentation to customers.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Controlling the budgets of assigned projects within cost limits acceptable to Executive Management whilst maintaining company goals of safety, reliability and technical quality.
- Ensuring the completion of assigned projects within the agreed schedules without compromising company standards of safety, reliability and technical quality.
- Supervising the Project Matrix team to ensure that resources and skills are matched to tasks and that tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Supporting the Business Matrix Core team in the development of clear scope definition, standards and execution strategy, so that estimates can be prepared accurately and on time.
- Ensuring that there is adequate and effective communication both within the Matrix and externally with Customers, Vendors, Authorities etc.
- Resolving problems in a timely manner by identifying and involving the correct Project Matrix members.
- Reporting to Executive and Senior Project Management on the status of assigned projects so that they are always fully appraised of progress, achievements and any problems (potential as well as actual).
- Supervising Project group staff to meet identified objectives within the group.
- Participating in training as required.
Qualifications
- Engineering Degree
- 15 years or more of direct project management experience
- Proven track record executing large project with capital excess $50 million USD
- Very good written and spoken English skills
