JOB OUTPUT:
Under the leadership of the plant manager, this position is accountable for process improvement, quality analysis, EHS involvement and Lean activities.
KEY PROCESSES (Ownership/Participation):
Working with Project Manager, assisting the Engineering group from the corporate, to implement technical improve project in Shanghai plant
Working with Project manager for New Product Development project management, esp. the production preparation for project transition from project to mass production, make sure the die, rollset, fixture are ready for mass production, trial production is finished, process documents and quality control plan is in place and operators are well trained.
? Working with Maintenance Department and Project Manager to manage die, rollset, fixtures in workshop
? Continuous improvement on existing process
? Actively involve in 5S and EHS activities on site
? Develop and maintain standard works
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
? Report to the Plant Manager
? Work closely with Project Manager, Maintenance Manager, Production Manager, Quality Manager
KEY CUSTOMERS AND SUPPLIERS
External:
? Material Supplier
Internal:
? Operators
? Project Manager, Maintenance Manager, Production Manager, Quality Manager
Team Involvement
? Production Team
? Maintenance team
? QA team
? Corporate Engineering team
? Logistics team
MEASURES OF EFFECTIVENESS
? Safety Performance: OSHA Recordables, Lost Time Injury
? Manufacturing performance (Mips, scrap rate.)
? OOS% of process
? Standard Works on site
? Rollsets in good condition
VALUE ADDED ACTIVITIES
? Team player in continuous improvement
? Leadership in process improvement
QUALIFICATION
? Bachelor’s degree in engineering
? Work experience in die/mould design and multinational foreign invested company preferred
? Hand-on knowledge and skills in stamping/rollforming industry
? Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience preferred
? Knowledge of ISO9000, QS9000 or ISO TS16949
? Good command of both written and spoken English
