Job Description:
？Develop and implement novel signal processing and video analytics algorithms applied to video surveillance, video management system, fire and security, and smart/intelligent building related applications, perform algorithms development, simulation analysis, performance characterization and experiments design and verification, interact with other engineering teams to ensure system-wide compatibility.
？Communicate with global teams to develop requirements and product specifications; Working closely with a global cross-disciplinary team of technologists to the conception and prototyping of new technology/products related to existing and emerging *** applications.
？Collaborate with a diverse team both at *** Research Center and *** business units. Create new technical and project opportunities through technology leveraging, strategic partnering, and acquisition of external contracts
？Lead and participate in multidisciplinary projects, ensuring high quality deliverables and seamless integration with the **** team in the U.S.A., and University partners in China.
？Provide timely, accurate and detailed reports and presentations.
Qualifications:
？Preferred: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of industrial or academic experience (post Ph.D.).
？Required: M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of industrial or academic experience (post M.S.).
？Expert knowledge in the following fields: 1) video indexing, search and retrieval, such as robust visual/semantic features for objects’ descriptions in camera networks, database index and large scale search/retrieval approaches, semantic query development for multimedia database retrieval, large scale database development (such as distributed database or cloud computing technologies); 2) video analytics for intelligent video surveillance, such as object detection, tracking, classification and action/activity recognition.
？Strong background in mathematics.
？Strong record of technical contributions with publications in refereed technical journals and major conferences in computer vision.
？Outstanding programming skills using Matlab, C/C++ or Java.

Job Description:
? Participate in multi-disciplinary teams on projects related to building energy system modeling and simulation.
? Develop innovative modeling methods and solutions to multiple applications including modeling of building envelope, loads and HVAC systems, fault detection of the energy performance, and corrective algorithm optimization and implementation.
? Support technology demonstration of advanced building energy management systems.
? Create new technical and project opportunities through technology leveraging, strategic partnering, and acquisition of external contracts.
Qualifications Required:
? r PhD degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering professional experience.
? In-depth knowledge and experience in building energy system modeling, analysis, simulation and computation (MASC).
? Familiarity with building energy management systems.
? Field experience with implementation or monitoring of building energy management systems.
? Experience with MATLAB, TRNSYS, EnergyPlus, eQuest and Dymola
? Experience with building energy diagnostics and controls is a plus..
