Associate Manager-Product Engineering

BASIC FUNCTION
Coordinates the efforts of engineering work and ensure the timely and qualified delivery of these works for bathing furniture products as designated. Coach junior engineers on product design, development, and improvement.
Major Requirement
1- Honest, assertive and own good professional ethics;
2- 3+ years of working experience in kitchen or bathing furniture industry, wooden product knowledge is a plus.
3- At least 2 years supervisory experience either in project or in people management.
4- Strong leadership with excellent interpersonal and communication skill with capability to work independently and under pressure;
5- Good spoken and written English with proficient mandarin
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLITIES
1- Leads cross-functional projects involving design, fabrication, validation, and manufacture of complex subassemblies, systems, processes, equipment and facilities. Conceives and plans whole projects;
2- Defines and selects new concepts and approaches to the design or development of new or improved products, processes, equipment or facilities.
3- Assume project fiscal responsibilities;
4- Monitors and takes corrective action.
5- Develops specifications for product or process systems from customer requirements.
6- Utilizes parameter design to assure robustness.
7- Translate customer, regulatory, and reliability requirements into validation process.
8- Uses FMEA to define verification requirement
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
Supervisory Relationships:
Ø Directly report to Associate Director of Product Engineering, Company China
Ø Organization Relationships:
Ø Frequent contact with Marketing – Product Manager, Manufacturing – Manufacturing and Quality Manager, Supply Chain – Purchasing and Technical Service Manager, US – Senior Engineers
Ø External Business Relationships:
Ø External contacts with Supplier, Contractor
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1- Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline. 3 or more years of related work experience.
2- Past results include successful cross-functional project leadership.
