OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB

· Senior Supplier Quality Engineer is a supplier quality window, monitors and improves supplier quality performance, ensures implementation of GSQM, supplier lot control/ Breakpoint, supplier concern management / CTS, supplier corrective and preventive action, supplier audit, supplier APQP & PPAP.

· This position also leads supplier quality group and perform continuous improvement activity by pulling together best practice of both electronics and steering processes. She/he is in charge of standardizing the supplier control as well as IQA process in TACS. Additionally, he/she will be leading localization part qualification.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILIES

· Improve Supplier Quality and Logistic performance based on Supplier Global Quality Manual with tools and methodologies developed by Supplier Global Quality.

· Assure that all new/modified parts received from suppliers are accompanied by the correct release documents.

· Ensure correct reporting of data to top management as well as VIN database.

· Lead supplier development and improvement activities.

· Organize and conduct Quality Systems audits with representative teams for new and existing suppliers.

· Support to verify and approve APQP and PPAP documents.

· Identify process related designated characteristics and provide them to suppliers.

· Support an active Supplier Concern Management:

• Review supplier 8D response.
• Coordinate with Central Purchasing for consistent problem suppliers.
• Conduct quality management review meetings with specific suppliers and verify correct actions.

· Communicate events, problems and reports to partners in plants.

· Lead supplier quality group and establish standardize supplier control strategy.

· Perform continuous improvement activity by pulling together best practice of both electronics and steering processes.

· In charge of standardizing the supplier control as well as IQA process in TACS.

Leading localization part qualification.

KEY COMPETENCIES

· Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9002 and QS 9000.

· Familiar with QS9000 Management tools such as APQP, PPAP, Problem Analysis Tools, SPC, MSA, 8D, Control Plan, FMEA, etc.

DUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Educational: Degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or its equivalent.

· Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in an mechanical industrial environment, preferably quality control in automotive industry. Minimum 2 years experience in supplier development or quality assurance.

· Attributes: Out Spoken personality, Good communication and interpersonal skills.
